OUR SPIRIT
Aulos Duo started from a bond of friendship and the desire of enjoying chamber music. Our trusting friendship enables us to be honest with each other in the creative process.
Aulos, from the Greek: αὐλός; or tibia in Latin, was an Ancient Greek wind instrument. And even though it is translated in English as a double flute, it was a single- or double-reed pipe played in pairs during the Classical period.
Aulos Duo is the combination of two different women playing two different instruments but as a unique being.
